Hotel du Vin Brighton is situated in the Lanes conservation area, a stone's throw from the seafront. Its 37 bedrooms are housed in a collection of eccentric, gothic revival and mock Tudor buildings erected, appropriately, by a wine merchant on the site of an old Brighton inn.

Among many interesting features are the heavily carved staircase and bizarre gargoyles, whilst the original double-height hall now houses the wine bar overlooked by the billiards and cigar gallery.

The Master Mariner serves a traditional English menu with a modern flare, specialising in local freshly caught fish, 21 day aged beef and classic Sunday roasts with an emphasis on sourcing the finest available local produce. the restaurant at blanch house is an in-house affair. all involved are dedicated to excellence in food, service and wines but with no pretensions. you can sit back and take pleasure in the relaxed atmosphere of dinner at your best friends house while enjoying innovative food, attentive and personal service, and superb wine and cocktail lists.

located towards the rear of the hotel in a white, cubed shaped room the restaurant gives an overall feeling of space and freshness. white leather banquet seating and simple walnut tables makes it a perfect backdrop for the food which should always take centre stage. local art hangs on the walls and is changed every 8 weeks to give you a different feeling in the room every time you visit.

the menu changes with the seasons and availability to ensure that only the freshest high quality produce is used. meat, vegetables and dairy products are locally sourced and organic where possible. fish comes from the local day boats and the finest local suppliers.

Now open on the beachfront - Riddle & Finns II is the sister restaurant to the highly acclaimed branch in the lanes. Overlooking the beach & directly across the road from the Brighton Centre the restaurant offers the same selection of classic seafood dishes made from the freshest ingredients with the addition of some meat dishes for the non pescetarians. An al fresco terrace seats up to 40 guests while the restaurant itself seats 55, with a private dining room seating up to 10 covers, the new addition is the perfect place to enjoy a glass or two of bubbly with some freshly shucked oysters or a celebratory seafood banquet.
Unlike the original Lanes restaurant the new beachfront branch does accept reservations & is available to hire for parties & corporate functions.
